OH SB151

Authorizes park district boards of park commissioners to create a building department and hire necessary personnel to administer and enforce building codes.

Permits the building department to enforce the state nonresidential building code on buildings existing or constructed on park district property, if the department is certified under Ohio Revised Code section 3781.10.

Allows the board to direct the certified building department to exercise enforcement authority and approve building plans pursuant to sections 3781.10 and 3791.04 of the Revised Code for their certified building classes.

Establishes that municipal, township, or county building departments cannot exercise enforcement authority over buildings on park district property if a certified park district building department exists in the same jurisdiction.
