Legislative Description

To require all buses purchased, leased, rented, or chartered by universities and colleges to transport students or employees to be equipped with occupant restraining devices for all passengers, to permit buses that currently are owned by universities and colleges and are not equipped with occupant restraining devices for all passengers to transport students or employees indefinitely, and to allow the Director of Public Safety to approve a course in remedial driving instruction that is conducted entirely by video teleconferencing or the internet under specified circumstances.
