Encourages elementary and secondary schools in Ohio to enroll students on a school-wide basis in the Presidential Active Lifestyle Award Program to promote daily physical activity.

Recognizes that childhood obesity is increasing in Ohio, with one in three Ohio children considered overweight and the percentage of overweight youth in the United States more than tripling since 1980.

Notes that obese children face premature health issues including diabetes, high blood pressure, asthma, and joint problems, with higher risk of heart and respiratory diseases in adulthood.

Identifies the Presidential Active Lifestyle Award Program as enabling children to track physical activities and earn awards for meeting the goal of at least 60 minutes of daily physical activity.

Directs the Senate Clerk to send copies of the resolution to the State Board of Education, the Superintendent of Public Instruction, the Ohio School Boards Association, and Ohio news media.
