Clinton County was created by the Ohio legislature on February 19, 1810, and named in honor of George Clinton, vice president of the United States at that time.

The Ohio Senate commends Clinton County on its 200th anniversary and extends best wishes for peace and prosperity in the coming years.

The resolution recognizes Clinton County residents' exemplary qualities of cooperation, integrity, and hard work throughout the past two centuries.

The Clerk of the Senate is directed to transmit an authenticated copy of the resolution to Clinton County.
