INFOhio is an electronic network started in 1989 that connects Ohio K-12 students, teachers, and library specialists to school, university, public, and special libraries and government and education databases, established with legislative funds in 1994.

The network serves more than 2,400 schools in 480 districts with over 1.1 million students and offers a catalog of more than 1.2 million holdings available 24/7 from any internet-connected computer.

INFOhio costs taxpayers approximately 50 cents per student compared to $50 or more per student it would cost individual school districts to maintain their own collections.

During the 2008-2009 school year, INFOhio circulated more than 18 million items and supports both local curricula and Ohio Academic Content Standards.

The Ohio Senate commends INFOhio on its twentieth anniversary and directs the Senate Clerk to transmit an authenticated copy of the resolution to the organization.
