Ohio Senate extends condolences to the family and friends of First Lieutenant Michael Runyan on his death.

Michael Runyan was a 2004 Ashland High School graduate who excelled in golf and competed in swimming and tennis, and a 2008 Xavier University graduate who participated in Army Reserve Officers' Training Corps.

Runyan served as a platoon leader with the 2nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team of the 25th Infantry Division and was killed in the line of duty while supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Senate resolution mourns the loss and salutes the memory of First Lieutenant Michael Runyan, acknowledging his contributions and the sacrifices he made to ensure freedom and justice.

Clerk of the Senate to transmit an authenticated copy of the resolution to the Runyan family.
