Honors Frank E. Deaner on his retirement as executive director of the Ohio Newspaper Association, a position he held since November 1990.

Recognizes Deaner's service as secretary to the ONA Board of Trustees, president of the Ohio Coalition for Open Government, and member of professional organizations including the Scripps School of Journalism Professional Advisory Board and Society of Professional Journalists.

Acknowledges Deaner's 15 years of experience as a broadcast executive, including former service as news coordinator at WBNS-TV.

Commends Deaner for demonstrating civic commitment, sincere and energetic work, and distinguishing himself as a conscientious and responsible Ohioan throughout his career.

Directs the Clerk of the Senate to transmit an authenticated copy of the resolution to Frank E. Deaner and extends best wishes for health and happiness in his retirement.
