Amends Ohio Revised Code section 2903.13 to make assault against an Ohio transit system bus operator, maintenance worker, or contracted employee performing those services a felony of the fifth degree when committed while the victim is engaged in official duties or responsibilities.

Adds a new subsection (C)(4)(f) to the assault statute that specifically protects transit system workers by elevating assault charges against them to felony level, matching protections already provided to school bus operators and other public employees.

Defines "Ohio transit system bus" as a motor vehicle designed to carry more than nine passengers used for transportation of persons, excluding school buses.

References existing definitions of "Ohio transit system" from section 2305.33 of the Revised Code and "motor vehicle" from section 4511.01 of the Revised Code.

Repeals the existing version of section 2903.13 and replaces it with the amended version containing the new protections for transit system employees.
