Luke Powell, a senior at Clay High School, won the 2011 Division I-II-III State Powerlifting Championship in the 185-pound weight class with a combined total of 1,265 pounds.

Powell's championship lift included a 500-pound squat, a 285-pound bench press, and a 480-pound deadlift.

The Ohio House of Representatives commends Powell for his athletic achievement, dedication to excellence, and exemplary sportsmanship both in and out of competition.

The Clerk of the House of Representatives is directed to transmit an authenticated copy of the resolution to Luke Powell.
