• Ohio House of Representatives fully supports construction of the New International Trade Crossing, a six-lane bridge over the Detroit River between Detroit and Windsor with public ownership and private financing through a public-private partnership.

• Canada is Ohio's top export market with $30.9 billion in bilateral trade in 2010, and an estimated 301,100 Ohio jobs are supported by U.S.-Canada trade.

• The existing 83-year-old Detroit-Windsor bridge carries one-fourth of all U.S.-Canada trade (20,000 vehicles and approximately $350 million in value daily) and serves 2 million Americans whose livelihoods depend on it.
