USS Ohio was commissioned on November 11, 1981, as the first Trident-class nuclear-powered fleet ballistic missile submarine and converted to guided missile submarine-class in 2003

Submarine is based out of Bangor, Washington, and has successfully conducted numerous patrols, missions, and missile tests throughout its service record

Recognizes the accomplishments and service of the USS Ohio's officers, crew, and the U.S. Navy as a reflection of American military tradition and heritage

Directs the House Clerk to transmit an authenticated copy of the resolution to the USS Ohio (SSGN 726)
