Honors Samuel Prakel, a junior at Versailles High School, as the 2011-2012 Gatorade Ohio Boys Cross Country Runner of the Year.

Prakel won the 2011 Division III State Championship with a time of 15:19.34, placed fourteenth at the Nike Cross Nationals Regional Championships with a time of 15:15.2, and placed eightieth at the Foot Locker Midwest Regional Championships with a time of 16:11.

Commends Prakel's talent, competitive spirit, sportsmanship, and dedication to cross country, as well as his leadership both in and out of competition.

Recognizes the value of organized high school sports in the education of young people and acknowledges that Prakel's experience will help him meet future challenges.

Directs the Clerk of the House of Representatives to transmit an authenticated copy of the resolution to Samuel Prakel.
