The Ohio State University, founded in 1870 as Ohio's land-grant institution, has educated students, conducted groundbreaking research, contributed to the economy, and influenced the nation and world.

The Clerk of the House of Representatives shall transmit copies of this resolution to The Ohio State University and Ohio news media to commemorate the sesquicentennial and preserve this significant historical milestone.
