Mason High School marching band received the 2011 Sudler Shield from the John Philip Sousa Foundation, recognized as one of the finest high school bands in the country.

Band members demonstrated exceptional musical ability, confidence, and discipline under the direction of Robert Bass.

Participation in the high school band program develops musical skills and teaches students the value of perseverance and cooperation.

The House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio commends the band's exemplary achievements and extends best wishes for the future.

The House Clerk will transmit an authenticated copy of the resolution to the Mason High School marching band.
