Carol Fitzsimons won six medals in swimming at the 2012 Transplant Games of America: two gold, three silver, and one bronze.

Gold medals were earned in the 500-yard and 200-yard freestyle events; silver medals in the 50-yard butterfly, 4x50-yard freestyle relay, and 4x50-yard medley relay; and bronze in the 200-yard individual medley.

Fitzsimons received a kidney transplant in 2001 and demonstrated exceptional determination and perseverance in achieving these athletic accomplishments despite significant health challenges.

Ohio House of Representatives congratulates Fitzsimons for exemplary achievement and extends best wishes for her future.

Clerk of the House of Representatives shall transmit an authenticated copy of the resolution to Carol Fitzsimons.
