Honors the late Perry B. Jackson as a posthumous inductee of the 2012 James A. Garfield Hall of Fame, sponsored by the Republican Party of Cuyahoga County.

Recognizes Jackson as the first African American elected as a judge in Ohio, serving in Cleveland Common Pleas and Municipal courts.

Acknowledges his service as a member of the Ohio House of Representatives, Cleveland City Council, chief police prosecutor for Cleveland, and special counsel to the Ohio Attorney General.

Recognizes his civil rights activism and involvement in numerous civic organizations including the NAACP, Urban League, St. John African Methodist Episcopal Church, and various fraternal organizations.

Directs the Clerk of the House of Representatives to transmit authenticated copies of the resolution to the Jackson family.
