Solutions for Patient Safety is honored by the United States Department of Health and Human Services as a best practice in its National Quality Strategy.

The partnership began in January 2009 and includes the Cardinal Health Foundation, Ohio Business Roundtable, Central Ohio Hospital Council, Ohio Hospital and Children's Hospital associations, and twenty-five hospitals throughout Ohio.

The initiative has reduced adverse drug events and infections, resulting in fewer patient hospital days, more lives saved, and lower healthcare costs.

The Ohio House of Representatives commends Solutions for Patient Safety for exemplary achievement and extends best wishes for ongoing success.
