Amends section 3904.13 of the Revised Code to add a new disclosure exception allowing funeral homes licensed under Chapter 4717 to obtain personal information about deceased insured persons from insurance providers.

Requires funeral homes to submit a written authorization signed by both a licensed funeral director and the person holding the right of disposition (assigned under Ohio probate code sections 2108.70, 2108.81, or 2108.82).

Permits disclosure of specific information only: policy identification, policy validity and payment status, beneficiary identities, outstanding liens or loans, and death benefit amounts payable.

Mandates insurance institutions respond to authorized requests within one business day of receiving the funeral home's authorization.

Authorizations must include the decedent's name and address, funeral director and funeral home information, confirmation of death date, and certification that the authorizing person holds the legal right of disposition.
