Alex Obendorf won first place in the boys 1-meter diving event at the 2012 Division I State Swimming and Diving Championships with a score of 510.65 points.

Obendorf was a sophomore at Hudson High School and member of the Akron Rippers Diving Club at the time of his achievement.

The Ohio Senate commends Obendorf for his exceptional form, ability, commitment, and leadership both in and out of athletic competition.

The Senate recognizes Obendorf as one of Ohio's finest young citizens and divers, acknowledging his talent, confidence, and motivation as a true champion.

The Clerk of the Senate is directed to transmit an authenticated copy of the resolution to Alex Obendorf.
