Honors Neil Armstrong, the first person to walk on the moon during the Apollo 11 mission on July 20, 1969, with his famous words "That's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind."

Recognizes Armstrong's extensive career as a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War, NASA astronaut and commander of Apollo 11, test pilot, engineer, NASA administrator, University of Cincinnati aerospace engineering teacher, farmer, and corporate chairman.

Acknowledges Armstrong's personal sacrifices and unwavering commitment to service to his family, friends, community, Ohio, and the United States.

Directs the Senate Clerk to transmit an authenticated copy of the resolution to Armstrong's family, including his wife Carol and two sons.

Adopted by the Ohio Senate on September 11, 2012, with sponsorship from 34 senators.
