Recognizes May 6-12, 2011, as National Nurses Week in Ohio to honor the vital roles nurses play in meeting American healthcare needs.

Acknowledges that America's 3.1 million registered nurses rank first in honesty and integrity and are trusted to save lives and improve patient health.

Notes that advanced practice registered nurses can provide 60 to 80 percent of primary care services as well as or better than physicians at a lower cost.

Directs the Clerk of the Senate to transmit copies of the resolution to the Ohio Nurses Association and Ohio news media.
