Commends the United States Armed Forces, Navy SEAL Team 6, Central Intelligence Agency, and both the George W. Bush and Barack H. Obama Presidential Administrations for the successful operation resulting in the death of Osama bin Laden on May 1, 2011

Recognizes Osama bin Laden as the founder of al Qaeda and notes his organization's responsibility for the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks that killed nearly 3,000 people and injured more than 6,000

Acknowledges the nearly ten-year effort by U.S. military, intelligence, and presidential administrations to bring Osama bin Laden to justice

Honors those who sacrificed their lives in efforts to combat terrorism and pursue Osama bin Laden

Directs the Senate Clerk to transmit copies of this resolution to the President of the United States, Secretary of Defense, and Ohio news media
