Honors Sergeant First Class Bradley S. Hughes, a 1988 Newark High School graduate, who was killed in Afghanistan while serving with the 528th Sustainment Brigade in support of Operation Enduring Freedom

Recognizes Hughes's 23 years of military service, including 4 years with the U.S. Marine Corps and 19 years with the U.S. Army, with deployments to Iraq, Germany, Korea, Africa, and participation in Operation Desert Storm and the Haiti Earthquake Mission

Acknowledges Hughes's surviving family members, including his wife Leslie and two stepsons Jordan and Chandler, and his community involvement with the Newark Moose Lodge and APA Pool League

Directs the Senate Clerk to transmit an authenticated copy of the resolution to Hughes's family
