Enacts Section 3313.7110 requiring school boards and governing authorities to provide appropriate diabetes care to enrolled students with diabetes in accordance with physician orders, including blood glucose monitoring, insulin administration, and emergency glucagon treatment.

Requires boards and governing authorities to inform parents within 14 days of receiving a physician's diabetes order that students may be entitled to a 504 plan and to develop training guidelines for school employees in diabetes care within 180 days.

Permits trained school employees or school nurses to administer diabetes medication to students, allows medication to be stored in easily accessible locations, and prohibits schools from restricting student attendance based on diabetes or lack of full-time school nurses.

Authorizes students with diabetes to self-manage their condition during school hours and school activities if their physician determines they are capable, including performing care tasks in any school location and possessing necessary supplies at all times.

Grants liability immunity to schools and employees providing diabetes care unless willful or wanton misconduct occurs, and requires annual reporting to the department of education on student diabetes enrollment numbers and medication administration errors.
