OH HB445

Requires the Governor and the Director of Rehabilitation and Correction to be present at all executions of death sentences carried out by lethal injection under Ohio law.

Removes the previous optional language allowing the Director of Rehabilitation and Correction or the Director's agent to attend, making their presence mandatory.

Maintains existing provisions allowing attendance by the warden or deputy warden, the county sheriff, prison physicians, clergy, up to three family members of the victim, and authorized news media representatives.

Eliminates a previous category of attendees (the Director or Director's agent listed separately) and renumbers remaining attendance categories accordingly.
