• Establishes the Ohio Service Corps Internship Program under the Ohio Commission on Service and Volunteerism to encourage recent Ohio college graduates to remain in the state and gain nonprofit work experience.

• Requires eligible participants to be Ohio residents, 18 years or older, and have received an associate or baccalaureate degree within the preceding 12 months from an Ohio public college or university.

• Provides interns with $18,000 annual compensation (adjusted annually for inflation), state employee benefits, and up to $12,000 per year in student loan repayment assistance upon completing each year of service.

• Allows nonprofit corporations with internship programs to apply for participation; interns are state employees placed in 2-3 year nonprofit internships but not employed by the nonprofits themselves.

• Appropriates $1,000,000 for fiscal years 2014 and 2015 to administer and implement the program.
