Requires each state institution of higher education to adopt a policy on dating violence and rape incidents on campus.

Policy must include procedures for reporting incidents and an institutional plan for investigating and responding to such incidents.

Policy must describe consequences for committing dating violence or rape, including institutional disciplinary proceedings, referral for prosecution, and possible penalties.

Each state institution must provide a copy of the adopted policy to all enrolled students annually, and students must sign an acknowledgement of receipt.

Legislation is titled the "Respect Your Date Act."
