Inspector General authorized to investigate the Office of the Attorney General for misconduct and wrongful acts or omissions by the Attorney General, employees, or contractors, notwithstanding existing statutory limitations.

Inspector General and deputy inspectors general granted authority to administer oaths, examine witnesses under oath, issue subpoenas and subpoenas duces tecum, and compel testimony and production of records with court enforcement available for non-compliance.

Inspector General must identify and coordinate with other state officers and agencies conducting concurrent investigations, audits, reviews, or evaluations of the Attorney General's office, with mandatory information sharing and cooperation.

Inspector General shall prepare and submit a detailed final report of investigation results to the Governor, Speaker of the House of Representatives, and President of the Senate, with authority terminating upon report submission.

Inspector General authorized to enter contracts necessary to complete the investigation, including contracts for expert services, and the act is declared an emergency measure effective immediately.
