• Identifies Canada as the largest foreign trade partner for the United States and largest export destination for 38 states including Ohio, with $102 billion in Midwestern trade in 2012.

• Notes that more than 8 million U.S. jobs depend on trade with Canada, including 1.5 million in Midwestern states, and 2.4 million Canadian jobs depend on U.S. trade.

• States the current 84-year-old Detroit-Windsor bridge carries one-fourth of all U.S.-Canada trade and the new crossing would create 10,000-15,000 construction jobs plus thousands of indirect jobs.
