Urges Congress and the President to repeal the 2.3% federal excise tax on medical devices that took effect January 1, 2013.

Notes the Joint Committee on Taxation estimates the tax will generate $29 billion in revenue over ten years.

States the U.S. is a net exporter of medical devices with a $5.4 billion export surplus and accounts for 40% of the global medical technology market.

Claims a Manhattan Institute study found the tax could result in loss of up to 43,000 jobs in the medical technology industry and will harm global competitiveness and medical innovation.

Directs the House Clerk to transmit the resolution to the President, Congress, Ohio's Congressional delegation, and Ohio news media.
