Simon Horn, a senior at Bexley High School, was named a 2014 United States Presidential Scholar by Secretary of Education Arne Duncan, one of only 141 students nationwide selected for this honor.

Horn is active in cross country, student council, and National Honor Society, and serves as a pianist, cellist, and volunteer with the Children's International Summer Villages.

The Ohio House of Representatives commends Horn for his self-discipline, perseverance, exceptional work ethic, and leadership qualities that reflect well on his family, school, and community.

The House of Representatives recognized Horn as one of Ohio's finest young citizens and directed the Clerk to transmit an authenticated copy of the resolution to him.
