Commemorates the 50th Anniversary of the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom, which took place on August 28, 1963.

Honors key organizers and speakers including Asa Phillip Randolph, Bayard Rustin, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., and other Civil Rights activists who participated in the historic march.

Recognizes the march as a pivotal moment in the Civil Rights Movement that led to passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965.

Pledges recommitment to the ideals of racial justice, equality of opportunity, school desegregation, and elimination of employment and workforce discrimination established at the march.

Directs the Clerk of the Senate to transmit copies of the resolution to Ohio news media.
