Honors Dr. John Ritter as the 2013 Ohio Professor of the Year, named by the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education and the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching.

Recognizes Dr. Ritter as a geology professor and chairman of the Geology Department at Wittenberg University for his exceptional skill, commitment, and professionalism in teaching.

Acknowledges Dr. Ritter's engagement in collaborative student research in the region and his active involvement with local organizations including the Clark County Soil and Water Conservation District.

Commends Dr. Ritter for inspiring students to excel through interesting and comprehensible instruction, and for earning the respect and gratitude of colleagues, community, and students throughout his education career.

Directs the Clerk of the Senate to transmit an authenticated copy of the resolution to Dr. John Ritter.
