Designates the second Saturday of May 2014 as Bird Ohio Day to recognize the importance of bird and bird habitat stewardship and conservation.

Acknowledges Ohio's role since the 1890s in bird studies and research, including its status as stopover habitat for millions of migratory birds and home to year-round resident species like bald eagles concentrated in Lucas, Ottawa, Sandusky, and Erie Counties.

Recognizes birding tourism's economic significance in Ohio, with visiting birdwatchers spending more than $30 million annually in northern Ohio during spring migration season and the Biggest Week in American Birding Festival.

Encourages school districts, schools, teachers, and nature educators to offer lessons and activities about birds, bird habitat, and bird conservation to students and citizens.

Encourages Ohio citizens and visitors to spend time outdoors enjoying birds and engaging in stewardship of wildlife habitats that support migratory and resident birds.
