Officer Ben Campbell of the Copley Police Department received The Congressional Badge of Bravery on March 25, 2013, in recognition of his personal initiative, performance, and devotion to excellence.

On August 7, 2011, Campbell responded without backup to a shots-fired call and approached the suspect, resolving what was described as one of that year's deadliest events in the country.

The Ohio Senate recognizes Campbell's unwavering commitment to service, his dedication to safeguarding residents' rights and property, and his contributions to effective law enforcement.
