OH HB118

Prohibits Ohio state institutions of higher education from charging overload fees to students enrolled in courses exceeding their full course load per semester or quarter as defined by each institution's board of trustees.

Allows institutions to charge overload fees only for credit hours exceeding 18 per semester or the equivalent per quarter, applied only to those excess hours beyond the 18-credit threshold.

Defines "full course load" as determined individually by each state institution's board of trustees and "overload fee" as a fee or increased tuition rate for courses taken above a full course load.

Applies to all state institutions of higher education as defined in section 3345.011 of the Ohio Revised Code.
