• Photo ID Requirements: Voters must provide current and valid photo identification, military identification, or a copy of a current utility bill, bank statement, government check, paycheck, or other government document showing name and address when voting in person.

• Acceptable Photo IDs: Valid forms include Ohio driver's licenses, state identification cards (may show current or former address), U.S. military identification cards, and U.S. passports.

• Religious Objection Exception: Voters with religious objections to being photographed may execute an affirmation under penalty of election falsification and cast a provisional ballot instead of providing photo identification.

• Absentee/Mail Voting: Absent voters must provide photo identification when marking ballots in person at the board of elections office, or provide driver's license/state ID number, last four digits of Social Security number, or copies of acceptable documents when voting by mail.

• Provisional Ballots: Voters without required identification can cast provisional ballots, which are counted if they provide identification within seven days after the election or execute the required affirmation.
