Sub. H.B. No. 235 Summary

• Waives concealed carry license fees for active and reserve members of the armed forces and retired or honorably discharged veterans.

• Accepts military experience with firearms as proof of competency regardless of when the applicant acquired the experience.

• Permits licensees to renew concealed handgun licenses at any time before expiration, rather than limiting renewal to 90 days before expiration.

• Amends section 2923.125 of the Ohio Revised Code governing concealed handgun license applications and renewals.
