• Permits continuing professional development credit through multiple activities including university coursework, seminars, workshops, conferences, published papers, patent awards, and service in professional organizations.

• Allows registrants to carry forward a maximum of 15 excess hours to the next renewal period, with up to 2 hours of ethics credit included in that maximum.

• Requires registrants to maintain records for four calendar years beyond certification and allows the state board to audit compliance, with potential revocation or suspension of registration for failure to meet requirements after a six-month cure period.
