Authorizes pharmacists to vary the quantity of drug dispensed from refillable prescriptions if the total does not exceed a ninety-day supply and all conditions are met.

Applies only to maintenance drugs for chronic conditions, disease prevention drugs, and contraceptives, excluding controlled substances.

Requires pharmacist consultation with patient and professional judgment that the action is appropriate, and patient must have used an initial thirty-day supply or previously received a ninety-day supply with stabilized condition.

Prescriber must not have marked the prescription "dispense as written" or otherwise restricted quantity variation.

Does not require health insurers, government programs, or pharmacy benefit managers to provide coverage inconsistent with the patient's benefit plan.
