Notes Rose is the all-time leader in hits, at bats, and games played in Major League Baseball with 17 All-Star selections, 2 Gold Gloves, Rookie of the Year, 3 batting titles, 1 MVP award, and 3 World Series titles.

Cites that Rose voluntarily accepted permanent ineligibility on August 24, 1989, following a gambling investigation that produced no evidence he gambled against the Reds while serving as manager from 1984-1989.

Notes Rose applied for reinstatement on March 16, 2015, and references the 2015 All-Star Game being held in Cincinnati where Rose spent his playing and managing career.
