Urges the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to update definitions of Lyme disease symptoms based on clinical diagnosis and reconsider diagnostic and treatment standards and best practices.

Requests the CDC provide more resources for health care professionals and the general public to learn about Lyme disease prevention, diagnosis, and treatment.

Calls for improved reporting techniques by state and local health agencies to reduce underreporting of Lyme disease cases, as only approximately 30,000 of an estimated 300,000 annual cases are currently reported.

Asks the CDC to provide funding or means for improved laboratory testing to enhance early detection of Lyme disease in humans.

Directs the House Clerk to transmit copies of the resolution to federal officials, including the President, Secretary of Health and Human Services, CDC Director, Congress members, and Ohio's congressional delegation.
