Requires pupils at or older than the age recommended by the Ohio Department of Health to present written evidence of meningococcal disease immunization beginning in the 2016 school year.

Pupils may remain in school for up to 14 days while "in the process of being immunized" if they have received at least the first dose and provide evidence of subsequent doses at intervals prescribed by the director of health.

Students who fail to comply with required immunization intervals must be excluded from school on the 15th day of the following school year and may be readmitted upon proof of progress on the health director's schedule.

Exemptions apply for pupils with medical contraindications, natural immunity documented by physician statement, or whose parent or guardian declines immunization for reasons of conscience or religious conviction.

The Department of Health must specify the recommended age for meningococcal immunization and approve immunization methods.
