Allows one or more pharmacists to enter into consult agreements with one or more physicians to manage patient drug therapy, including changing drug strength, dose, frequency, or adding drugs.

Permits pharmacists to dispense up to a 72-hour supply of non-controlled dangerous drugs without a prescription when refills are unavailable and the drug is essential to sustain life or prevent health harm.

For non-controlled drugs where a patient demonstrates consistent therapy, pharmacists may dispense up to a 30-day supply or standard unit of dispensing, but not more than once per 12-month period.

Consult agreements must be in writing, signed by the pharmacist, physician, and patient, and include specifications for diagnoses, drugs, procedures, and limitations; separate agreements required for each patient and diagnosis.

Provides liability protections for both pharmacists and physicians acting under consult agreements when they comply with the agreement terms, except for actions unrelated to drug changes.
