Amends sections 5739.01 and 5741.01 of the Revised Code to exempt the first $500 of prescription eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other optical aids sold by licensed dispensers from sales and use tax.

Defines "optical aid" as spectacles, contact lenses, or other instruments or devices that may aid or correct human vision and have been prescribed by a physician or optometrist licensed by any state.

Defines "eligible vendor" as a vendor licensed under Chapter 4725 or 4731 of the Revised Code or otherwise authorized to dispense optical aids or components under the laws of another state, country, or province.

Applies to sales where the price would be reduced by $500 per optical aid or component, with the price equaling zero if the computed amount falls below zero.

Amendments apply on and after January 1, 2016.
