State Board of Education shall establish an application form and criteria for awarding school safety funds to school districts

Appropriates $34,150,000 from the General Revenue Fund for fiscal year 2016 and $34,150,000 for fiscal year 2017

Distributes funds based on school district enrollment: up to $25,000 for districts with fewer than 1,000 students, up to $50,000 for 1,000-2,000 students, up to $75,000 for 2,000-10,000 students, and up to $100,000 for districts with 10,000 or more students

Funds may only be distributed upon school district approval of an application submitted to the State Board of Education

Director of Budget and Management shall establish accounts to track the source and amount of funds for each appropriation
