Ohio Senate recognizes Ilhan A. Dahir as a 2016 Rhodes Scholar for demonstrating outstanding scholastic ability and commendable qualities including perseverance, initiative, and leadership.

Dahir is a 2015 graduate of The Ohio State University where she earned Morrill Scholar and Buckeye Leadership Fellow status.

Dahir's experience includes tutoring middle and high school Somali students, editing The Algerian publication, interning with the Ohio Democratic Party and Canadian Parliament, and serving as secretary of the Collegiate Council on World Affairs.

Dahir received a Fulbright U.S. Student Program grant to teach English to university students in Izmir, Turkey.

The Clerk of the Senate will transmit an authenticated copy of the resolution to Ilhan A. Dahir.
