Richard L. Kortokrax coached boys basketball for 56 years, beginning at Fort Jennings High School in 1960, then Ottoville High School in 1962, and Kalida High School since 1974.

Kortokrax compiled an overall record of 890-371 wins-losses, making him the all-time winningest boys basketball coach in Ohio.

His coaching accomplishments include five Putnam County League championships at Ottoville, twenty PCL championships at Kalida, twenty-four sectional titles, ten district titles, four regional titles, and the 1981 Class A State Championship.

Kortokrax was named Putnam County League Coach of the Year 17 times and was inducted into the 1999 Ohio High School Basketball Coaches Association, 2002 Naismith Memorial Basketball, and 2012 Ohio Basketball halls of fame.

The Senate congratulates Kortokrax on his retirement and directs the Clerk of the Senate to transmit an authenticated copy of the resolution to him.
