Senate Resolution honoring the memory of Delbert L. Latta, a veteran of the Ohio National Guard, U.S. Army, and Marine Corps Reserve who served as a lawyer and teacher at Ohio Northern University.

Latta served in the Ohio Senate beginning in 1952 and in the U.S. House of Representatives for Ohio's 5th district for thirty years, serving on Agriculture, Export Controls, Judiciary, Budget, Rules, and Republican Leadership committees.

Led the effort to develop the Causeway to Cedar Point, which contributed significantly to the growth of the theme park, and was active with boards of trustees at Bowling Green State University, Defiance College, and Ashland College's John Ashbrook Center, as well as the American Legion and McComb Church of Christ.

The Delbert L. Latta Post Office Building was named in his honor in recognition of his extensive public service and community contributions.

Clerk of the Senate directed to transmit an authenticated copy of the resolution to Latta's family.
