Ohio Senate honors Debevc Farms on its 100th anniversary of cultivating grapes in the Grand River Valley, celebrated August 8, 2016

Anton Debevc purchased a general fruit farm in 1916 and grew grapes for juice and jam makers for more than 50 years before switching to wine varietals in 1971 and establishing Debonne Vineyards in 1972

The 175-acre farm currently produces more than 85,000 gallons of wine annually and has earned community respect for its agricultural stewardship

Senate applauds Debevc Farms for continuing the tradition of excellence and recognizes the family's contribution to Ohio agriculture
